In an effort to "break the good ole boy system" behind the upcoming Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo , state Sen. Mario Gallegos plans to file a bill requiring the rodeo to hire more minorities and comply with open records requests.

Finnlines, which is 65 percent owned by Italy's Grimaldi, said the sharply lower cargo volume in the fourth quarter will burden the company's revenues and financial performance at least during the first half of 2009.
